My brain is on the market

I am looking for exciting job opportunities, starting in January 2015.
The areas I am currently interested in include:
- digital publishing
- FOSS projects in education/academia
- HPC in optimization/data mining
(But I am a very curious person, so do not consider this list as a strict constraint.)
If you are looking for a R&D scientist/SW engineer, who is not just a code monkey, you might want to have a look at:
- my current work at ReadBeyond
- my personal projects
- other posts of this blog
- my cv
and, if you think we might both benefit from working together, feel free to write me an email.
EDIT (2014-07-01 13:09:03+02:00)
Wow, guys, thank you so much for the emails I got just this morning. A couple of questions are recurrent:
- Q: What about ReadBeyond?
A: I cannot publicly comment yet, but for the moment ReadBeyond's operations will not be discontinued: the Web site, Sync, and Menestrello will stay online.
Q: Is January negotiable? Would you consider moving abroad?
A: Yes and yes. (Indeed, ceteris paribus, I will give priority to plans including relocation abroad.)
Q: What are you going to do during these six months?
A: Besides settlings things down, I will take some time off (something I have not done in 10 years), probably going hiking. Then, I will do some houseworks, while working on two free software projects. I plan to study a bit. From September, I might be available to work part-time for well-defined, limited-in-scope projects.
